CHRISTMAS PARADE SATURDAY DECEMBER 12th ST. GEORGE

The St. George Santa Claus Parade will take place this coming Saturday, December 12th, 2015.  The parade is an evening parade that starts approx. 6pm.
The South Dumfries Historical Society will have the first floor hall of the Memorial Hall open in the afternoon of the parade -- students from the St. George-German School have created Gingerbread Houses which will be on display.
The SDHS will also have hot chocolate and cookies for guests (donations are welcome -- but not required).
Also during the afternoon and evening, we will be collecting donations for the local Christmas Baskets campaign.
We will have available a Book of Condolences for the family of Evan Leversage, the seven-year-old boy who inspired the village to celebrate Christmas in October and sadly did not live to see this parade (he passed away at the Hospice on Sunday, December 6th).
We are working to have an extensive slideshow of photographs related to Evan and the October parade for people who would like to be reminded of all that came together in his honour.
If you would like to leave the family a note, please come and sign the Book.
